The Center for Transformative Action (CTA) was proud to bring the joy of husky pups to Northeastern University’s Oakland campus, featuring Chanel, Levi, and Layla. This heartwarming event, made possible through our partnership with Norsled, was met with enthusiasm as students gathered to meet the dogs, take photos, and learn about their inspiring rescue stories. Despite the rain, the turnout was strong, with students dressed in Northeastern colors, enjoying an experience inspired by the beloved traditions of our Boston campus. The success of this event was highlighted in both the Oakland Campus Dean’s newsletter and a feature in Northeastern News, showcasing the impact of this special day on our campus community.
The event not only strengthened bonds within our campus but also underscored the importance of meaningful collaborations. We extend our gratitude to Norsled for their dedication to rescuing huskies and are proud to support their mission, which has saved over 2,000 dogs to date. As we look ahead to future husky visits and Husky Day celebrations, we’re thrilled to see our efforts recognized and are committed to continuing events that bring joy to our community while making a difference beyond our campus.
