Wise
WISE provides students the opportunity to explore curiosities and discover paths together. Experiential learning is at the heart of Northeastern University, and WISE builds upon its ethos. Whether you are looking to attend interactive workshops that showcase entrepreneurship in every light, find a mentor to help develop personal and professional skills, or strengthen problem solving skills through working on a semester long project, WISE has an opportunity for you!
Postcards to Swing States
Postcards to Swing States started in a volunteer’s garage. In just four years, our volunteers in all 50 states, D.C. and U.S. territories have sent more than 84 million handwritten messages to voters, more than any other organization.
Writing postcards is the most effective way to help elect Kamala Harris and other Democrats from home. Based on our award-winning research, our 2024 postcards will add an estimated 200,000 votes. Keep in mind that the presidential election in 2020 was decided by fewer than 43,000 votes.
Pre College Programs
The Northeastern Oakland programs give talented high school rising juniors and seniors from around the world the opportunity to participate in immersive, experiential programs with acclaimed Northeastern faculty members right on our Oakland campus.
Community to Community
Community to Community (C2C) uses data and analysis to design, implement, and evaluate public policies that push the needle forward on complex problems found in urban areas. We are scholars, researchers, policymakers, students, and community organizers working together to utilize a community-engaged research approach that fosters long term mutually beneficial partnerships.

Oakland Roots is a purpose-driven men’s soccer team that seeks to harness the magic of Oakland and the power of sports as a social force for good.
Oakland Soul women’s soccer team serves as an elite pathway to pro soccer, providing a high-quality training environment while empowering players. One day at a time…one game at a time.
Mills Institute
The Mills Institute at Northeastern University advances gender and racial justice through research, programs and partnerships that challenge systemic inequality and that facilitate the full inclusion of women, gender non-binary individuals, and BIPOC and other historically marginalized communities.
